WE NEED TO TALK

WE NEED TO TALK is a participatory design project exploring places of conversation led by international arts collective Unqualified Design Studio.

Unqualified Design Studio has been engaging with community members in Graiguecullen and Carlow Town to find out what makes a space a good place for conversation.

For Carlow Arts Festival 2024, they are creating a bespoke snug which will be installed on the grounds of Carlow College, St. Patrick's. This has been inspired by pubs and snugs throughout Carlow and the conversations they have had with publicans.

The Snug will be activated with intimate talks, discussions and workshops about craft-making, architecture and design.
