Benjamin Perchet was appointed Artistic Director & CEO of Carlow Arts Festival in August 2021. Perchet is well known in the Irish scene for his leadership of Dublin Dance Festival from 2016 – 2021. He was previously Artistic Advisor for two major French institutions in Lyon: Maison de la Danse (2004 – 2015) and Biennale de la Danse (2008 – 2015).

Benjamin has also been an Aerowaves partner, a founding board member and treasurer of European Dancehouse Network (EDN) and a partner and management team member of Big Pulse Dance Alliance (BPDA), all of these networks and projects being co-funded by the Creative Europe Programme of the EU. He is the chairperson of Institut des Croisements / Arkadi Zaides and OD Works / Oona Doherty.

David Francis Moore is a cultural producer, arts programmer and educator. He is currently the Programme Director and Executive Producer at Carlow Arts Festival. Prior to this he was the programme manager at VISUAL where he led the artist support and development programme which focused on institutionally embedded modes of support that better served the long-term sustainability of artists and their practices. David also produced ambitious community engagement and outreach programmes that sought to embed artists practice on a local level and reach new audiences.

From 2018 – 2021, David led on VISUAL’s involvement in the Arts & Humanities Entrepreneurship Hub Project, an EU funded project established to improve the entrepreneurial capacity of Arts & Humanities graduates through dedicated support and training. His book ‘Our Thriving Tribe; Exploring Entrepreneurship in the Arts’ launched in 2021 and features contributions from a variety of emerging and established Irish artists, practitioners and arts workers from across the sector.

He is the former chairperson of the Stroller Network, Ireland’s largest consortium of Art Centres and is currently Chair of Theatre Forum Ireland.

Ferga has been working with Carlow Arts Festival since 2016. She is a Carlow Town native and graduate of Carlow College, St. Patricks with a B.A in Arts and Humanities.

Over her time working with the festival, Ferga has facilitated various participatory community projects, as well as looking after our national and international artists, vendors, and the festival’s administration.

When not organising planes, trains, automobiles, venues and people, you’ll find Ferga dancing in her kitchen or wandering amongst the trees.

Orlaith Treacy has been working with Carlow Arts Festival since 2022. Orlaith's work is focused on ASSEMBLY, our arts participation and engagement programme. She collaborates with artists and communities to develop year-round projects.

Orlaith has an MA in Curating Contemporary Art from Limerick School of Art and Design. In 2021, she completed a postgraduate course in Cultural Event Management with IADT Dun Laoghaire. She has previously worked with Workhouse Union, Asylum Productions, Monkeyshine and Super Paua.

Paul joined the festival in 2022 with nearly twenty years’ experience in marketing and communications across a variety of sectors. He has directed communications and marketing campaigns for major events including the Oxegen and Vital music festivals, handled PR for the likes of Sony BMG, Warner Classics and Universal Music, and worked with cultural organisations such as The Contemporary Arts Society, The National Portrait Gallery, and Nordoff Robbins Music Charity. He has also delivered arts sponsorship campaigns for brands including Beck’s, Stella Artois, and Tennent’s Lager.

Paul holds an honours degree in English Lit and French from the University of Ulster. He recently returned to study to achieve a first-class honours degree in Psychology with the Open University and a MSc in Clinical Health Psychology (distinction) with Queen's University.

Mikee works as a freelance production manager in opera, theatre and dance, and is based in Wexford where he lives happily with his family.

He is delighted to be working once more in Carlow with a great creative team. Carlow has become like a second home the last 2 years where Mikee has been working closely with VISUAL Centre for Contemporary Art.

Mikee has worked extensively in Ireland, the UK and Europe. Previous Irish work includes Teac Damsa‘s ‘Mám’ and ‘Swanlake’; INO’s ‘Fidelio’, ‘Alice’s Adventures Underground‘, ’Magic Flute‘, and ‘Orfeo ed Euridice’; and Fabulous Beast Dance Company‘s ’Rian‘, ’Rite of Spring‘, and ’James’s Son of James’.

Janice is a Theatre Director and Facilitator. She holds a BA and an MA in Drama & Theatre Studies from UCC and a PG Dip in Theatre Directing from LAMDA. She is currently the Theatre Coordinator in KCAT Arts Centre and Assistant Producer of Carlow Live & Local. She is also the founder and Artistic Director of Slapdash Theatre Co., a community-based theatre company in Carlow.

Janice previously worked as Assistant Producer and Community Coordinator in VISUAL and she regularly teaches and facilitates drama in primary, secondary and further education schools and facilitates a variety of drama workshops for various community groups and organisations.

Shannon is a stand-up comedian and producer from Carlow. He is the producer and host of monthly comedy shows Stand Up at Scraggs and Laughs at the Halfway House.

He has gigged in all the top comedy venues in Ireland, Europe and New Zealand.

Shannon has a Bachelors in Communications and Public Relations and according to his family is funny sometimes.
