Roisín Lawlor
Chairperson
Roisín joined the Board in 2021. She is a Carlow native and has always supported the arts in the local community. She works in the area of company law and corporate governance, specialising in new companies.
Cian Kinsella
Company Secretary
Cian is an internationally renowned contemporary circus performer using skills such as acrobatics and clowning to create experiences to entertain, provoke and amuse audiences. His work explores environmental advocacy, ecology of culture, queer identity, and play as a creative strategy
Janice de Bróithe
Janice is a theatre director, producer, and facilitator from Carlow. She is the Artistic Director of Barnstorm Theatre Company, Kilkenny, and prior to this was the Artistic Coordinator of Equinox Theatre at KCAT Arts Centre in Callan. Janice also sits on the Board of Performing Arts Forum Ireland and is a member of the Carlow Rotary Club.
Dr Noel Kavanagh
Noel is a lecturer in Philosophy at the Department of Arts and Humanities, Carlow College. He is a P4C/CPI practitioner and a passionate advocate for public philosophy. His primary area of interest is the concept of love in philosophy and culture, the Human-animal relationship and the interconnections between philosophy, Psychoanalytic theory and psychotherapy.
Dan McInerney
Dan joined the board in 2020. Originally from Ashbourne in Co. Meath, Dan moved his family to Carlow in 1985 to work as an Engineer with Carlow County Council. After a long career at various levels of Local Government, he retired as Director of Services with Carlow County Council at the end of 2019.
Jolly O'RocK
Jolly has lived in Carlow for over 20 years and was a PPN representative in the Social Inclusion Seat for Culture, Libraries, & Digital Development. She is the founder of numerous community initiatives including Younity Youth Outreach and AHA Storytellers, and is a member of the Africa Solidarity Centre.
Cllr Fintan Phelan
Fintan joined the board in September 2019. Fintan is the current Mayor of Carlow and served as Cathaoirleach of Carlow County Council in 2021/22. He has a first-class honours degree in Economics Politics and Law from Dublin City University.
