Sinéad McCormack
Carlow-based artist Sinéad McCormack has been supported by Carlow Arts Festival to grow and develop her practice.
In 2026, Carlow Arts Festival supported Sinéad to deliver a work-in-progress, Ship.
Ship is an intimate sensory theatre show for a single audience member. Based on the first story from the Book of Invasion, it tells the story of Cessaire, and how she and 150 women were the first people to arrive in Ireland.
This work is supported by Carlow County Council in partnership with ArtLinks.

In 2022, Sinéad presented The Shed.
This short interactive show, for just one audience member at a time, was staged in a wooden shed in Carlow College’s Orchard. Enter The Shed and be captivated by strange stories and immersed in a rich and intoxicating multi-sensory experience of sights and sounds, smells and tastes.
This new work by local theatre director Sinéad Cormack featured four Irish performers and created an intimate theatrical experience, one encounter at a time.
