A Brand New Venue for Carlow Arts Festival 2024
In 2024, we’re proud to launch our new venue The Yurt – an intimate, fringe theatre for comedy, spoken word, music, and lectures.
Across the ten shows being performed at The Yurt – all of which are about Carlow or made by Scallion Aters - you’ll laugh, you’ll cry, and you’ll see the town through a new lens.
We’re hugely proud of the varied, diverse and talented voices of Carlow which are performing at the festival this year and we can't wait to present their works.
All shows can be booked in advance, and the majority are ‘pay what you can’ – meaning The Yurt is the perfect venue to take a chance and try something new.

Funding for The Yurt was provided by Carlow County Council Arts Office and Creative Ireland Carlow, whose ongoing support is crucial to the festival.
The Yurt has also been generously supported by Carlow Credit Union, who have joined the festival family for 2024 to help support Carlow creatives, communities, and audiences. We’re incredibly grateful for their involvement and contribution.
