Textile Repair

Toufan Hosseiny’s work explores textiles and repair through embroidery, quilting, natural dyeing and mending; each stitch becomes an act of connection, acceptance and healing.
Darning: Learn to repair or reinforce worn areas of your knitted and woven fabrics using a needlework sewing technique.
Sashiko: Learn to mend and reinforce damaged or worn clothing through a modern version of the Japanese Sashiko, using a repetitive small hand stitch and patching.
Please bring a damaged, loved item of clothing that needs repair.
Concertina Notebook & Natural Ink Painting Tutorial
